Second Wind Athlete Rescue
Second Wind is a program of the
Lickety Splits Flyball Organization. We
started doing some rescue as a team in 2003
when we split off from Aztec Doberman Pinscher
Club. The team is now independent from
Aztec DPC, but we still support their award-winning rescue
work.
We currently have Sunny the Border
Collie in foster care and are looking for
his forever home.

Move
Sunny
is a 2 year old
Border Collie
who is being fostered
by Pam Merhtens
(No Fear) for
Second Wind Athlete
Rescue. Second
Wind is a program
of the Lickety
Splits Flyball
Organization.
Sunny is ball
and tug motivated.
He gets along
well with other
dogs.
Sunny
has some issues
about people touching
his collar and
can be defensive
and fearful about
it. He is working
on these issues
in his foster
home. He is not
for a first time
BC owner, since
he is clever,
high energy, and
obsessive - all
good things for
an athlete.
He
has a nice future
for someone interested
in agility or
flyball. We will
be introducing
him to sheep soon
too. If you are
interested in
Sunny please contact
us at info@licketysplitsflyball.org.
Dodger
is a 3 year
old, neutered
male Pit or
Staffy Bull.
He is about
50 pounds and
is 16 inches
tall. He is
ball and toy
motivated,
and like all
bullies he
LOVES to play.
The
scrapes on
his face are
all from running
into things
when he plays
fetch.
Dodger
was abandoned
at a vet clinic
and was going
to be euthanized
simply for
being a bully.
He is friendly
and gentle
with people
and dogs. He
seems to be
fine with children
as well.
He
mostly likes
to sleep on
the couch when
he is not playing
with you.
Dodger
is a built
like a Mac
truck and as
such he may
have a better
future in weight
pulling than
in flyball.
What
he really needs
is someone
to love him
and throw the
ball.
Dodger
could do very
well in a pet
home. He is
housetrained
and knows how
to use a doggie
door.
He
is being fostered
by Pam Merhtens
of No Fear
Flyball Team
in San Diego.
Please contact
his foster
mom at 619-561-9815
