Training Weekend sponsored
by Lickety Splits Flyball Team.
So much fun was had by all that we will be scheduling
another Training Camp
August 7th and 8th, 2010.
August 7th and 8th
The weekend will be held at the Ramona
Outdoor Community Center starting at 8 a.m. both days.
Individual dogs with their
handler
combination for a 30 to 45 minute session. We
will also offer a small number of consultations for teams. These
will be a 45 minute session for an entire flyball team or
for a 4 to 6 dog racing squad. Consultations can be custom
designed to address issues to improve a team's organization and cooperation
or to improve handling skills and racing success for competition. The
entire weekend is open to all interested parties and any team member
is encouraged to attend even if they do not buy a training spot. In
other words, to audit the weekend is free.
You might want an individual spot if:
you have a dog that drops his
ball on the way back and you can't seem to figure out why or how
to stop it.
you have a
dog that would prefer to chase other dogs rather than stay in her
own lane when running with other dogs.
your dog is green and you don't have enough people at your
practices to run it with another dog in the other lane.
you just
don't like your dog's box turn and think it could be improved.
You might want a team consultation if:
you just can't seem to
win your division even though your dogs are probably fast enough.
you need help with your passing,
and don't have a pass caller on your team that is really helping
you.
you are having trouble organizing
your team practices and are in conflict about how to train the
dogs you have can't agree which dogs are ready to race.
you are not sure how to seed your team
and wonder if you might do better if you had a strategy for winning.
you can't seem to get your
team on the field fast enough to get your warmup done before the
race.
